26 June saw a main 'village fete' event at Chesterton Recreation Ground open from 1.00pm - 5.00pm. Local groups and organisations held stalls  White House Arts displayed the work of their studios. An adventure area was provided for children and an arena showcased local music and dance groups. St Andrew's Church had a floral display of flags of nations involved in the World Cup.

A special afternoon service was held on Sunday 27 at Chesterton Methodist Church.

On Monday 28 Chesterton Choral Society gave a concert on a watery theme at Chesterton Methodist Church. 

All of the events were well supported by local residents.
